Who we are
At BleekerFoundation, our journey began in 2015 with a vision to make a difference in the lives of teenage mothers across Africa. Rooted in the Netherlands but with wings that extend to Ghana and Cameroon, our mission is crystal clear: to empower and transform. We believe in the power of education to ignite change. Through our tireless efforts, we've embarked on a mission to educate teenagers, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to combat the challenges of teenage pregnancy. It's not just about prevention; it's about empowerment. It's about ensuring that every young person, regardless of circumstance, has the opportunity to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
Objectives
- Providing a safe space for teens do discuss Sexual Reproductive Education.
- Providing information sessions to teenagers and their parents to raise awareness;
- Offering scholarships for vocational training;
- Providing microloans to teenage mothers who want to start a business;
- Organizing (cultural) events, activities, and/or meetings;
- Nationally and internationally – doing or arranging whatever its board deems necessary, useful, and/or desirable.

At Bleeker Foundation, our mission is to empower teenage mothers across Africa by providing comprehensive support, education, healthcare, vocational training, and mentorship. We are committed to breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for teenage mothers to achieve their full potential, build a brighter future for themselves and their children, and ultimately, break the cycle of poverty. Through our dedication and community engagement, we strive to make a lasting impact in the lives of young mothers and contribute to positive social change across the continent.
Our Vision
To end teenage pregnancy in Africa
Over the years, our impact has been profound. We’ve touched the lives of over 50,000 youth with vital sexual reproductive health education, arming them with the knowledge they need to make informed choices. But our impact doesn’t stop there. We’ve also reached out to at least 100 teenage mothers, offering them a lifeline through vocational education. With skills and support, these young women are transforming their lives, breaking the cycle of poverty, and building a future filled with hope and possibility.
Our journey is far from over. With each passing day, we’re inspired by the resilience and determination of the young people we serve. Together, we’re rewriting the narrative, one life at a time. As we continue to walk this path, hand in hand with our partners and supporters, let us remember the words of Margaret Mead: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
